Stillwater Sanctuary exists to intervene early - providing a place where pastors can step away, breathe deeply, and begin to allow God to restore them.
I grew up as a pastor’s kid, which meant I had a front-row seat to the beauty AND the weight of ministry. I watched my dad and the people he served alongside give so much of themselves—often quietly carrying stress, exhaustion, and pressure that few people ever saw.
As an adult, I stepped into ministry myself and felt those same realities. The expectations, the emotional weight, the constant responsibility—it adds up. And over time, I began to notice a pattern that was hard to ignore.
Many of my closest friends are pastors. I’ve watched people I deeply love and respect become exhausted, discouraged, and eventually step away from ministry altogether. Not because they didn’t care—but because they had nothing left to give.
That’s what makes this so personal.
Pastors spend their lives showing up for others—guiding, supporting, and carrying people through some of their hardest moments. But too often, they have no safe place to go when they themselves are weary.
Stillwater Sanctuary was born out of that reality.
This isn’t just an idea—it’s a response to years of watching faithful leaders burn out without the support they needed. It’s a way to create something tangible: a quiet, peaceful place where pastors and their families can step away, breathe deeply, and begin to experience rest, healing, and restoration.
Because those who care for others deserve to be cared for too.
